Bucks County Release Meanings
A Bucks County jail stay can end in several ways. Bail can end pretrial detention while the case continues. Time served or sentence completion ends the custodial part of a sentence. County parole permits conditional release before the local maximum date. Probation is a court-ordered community term and is not the same as state parole. A dismissal may end the case that caused the booking, but it does not cancel another warrant or hold.
Transfer is not community release. Someone leaving the Bucks County Correctional Facility may go to a community-corrections placement, a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections institution, another county, a hospital, the U.S. Marshals Service, or immigration custody. The event label and destination matter. The Bucks County Department of Corrections keeps the county institutional record, while the court, PA DOC, Parole Board, BOP, or ICE may hold the next part of the trail.

Bucks County Release Record Fields
A useful request ties one person to one Bucks County booking and the event that ended it. Ask for existing fields. The Records Department does not have to write a new account of the release. Names alone can collide, so include the Bucks Corrections number and a booking or admission range when known. Ask for a key to any agency code that is not clear.

Not every requested field must exist or be public. Medical, treatment, investigative, victim, security, and criminal-history material can be withheld or redacted. Those sources complement rather than replace one another.
Request Bucks County Release Records
A current or former Bucks Corrections inmate seeking their own file uses the county's specific self-record process. The request is made at the Correctional Facility Records Department, 1730 South Easton Road in Doylestown. The official hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Only subpoenas may be mailed under that procedure.
- Complete DOC-LD Form 1, or the alternate form identified by the county when physical ability prevents completion.
- Bring valid photo identification and submit the form in person to the Records Department.
- Identify the booking range and request the release date, time, reason, destination, commitment identifiers, and available certification.
- Review any Form 2 custodian certification or Form 3 CHRIA disclosure supplied with the response.
For other county administrative records, use the Bucks County records-request portal and describe an existing record with care. Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law generally calls for a response as promptly as possible and normally within five business days, while a written extension is allowed for stated reasons. Fees follow the current Office of Open Records schedule. The agency need not create a custom release list that it does not keep.
Bucks Release Records and Access
The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law presumes agency records are public unless an exception, privilege, court order, or other law controls. Its exceptions can protect personal identifiers, medical information, investigative records, victim information, confidential sources, and certain safety-related material. Pennsylvania's Criminal History Record Information Act, or CHRIA, separately governs criminal-history data.
Online visibility and agency retention are different. Bucks publishes no released-person roster, so ask the Records Office which schedule governs an older file.
Expungement removes eligible records under a court process. Limited access and Clean Slate sealing restrict public view without necessarily erasing every government record. A missing public docket is therefore not proof that no Bucks custody event occurred.
Bucks County After-Hours Release
Bucks County has a detailed after-hours bail route. The Clerk of Courts bail instructions say bail may be posted at the Clerk from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on business days or at the district court of record. The Correctional Facility accepts bail from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. After 10 p.m., on weekends, and on holidays, callers must first check availability at 215-345-3700.
Cash and certified checks are accepted at the facility. Real-estate collateral must go through the Clerk or District Court. Posting bail supplies legal authority for release, but staff still must complete processing and check for other holds. The court entry and receipt explain the bail action. The county release record supplies the actual time and identifies whether the person entered the community or another agency took custody.
Bucks Release Pickup Locations
The three corrections facilities sit in the Doylestown government and corrections area. The Bucks County Correctional Facility and Women's Correctional Facility use the Easton Road complex. The Men's Community Corrections Center is at 1270 Almshouse Road, with its entrance described as between South Easton and Turk Roads. The official community-corrections directory is the sound source for that entrance.
No official source reviewed identifies a dedicated release shuttle, public waiting zone, or special release exit. Transportation and pickup rules should be confirmed with Corrections at 215-345-3700 instead of inferred from the campus map. A family pickup at one building can be wrong if the person was moved to community corrections, another county, a hospital, or another custodian before the expected departure.
Bucks County Custody Turnover
The main facility profile says it has 752 bunks and receives more than 7,432 prisoners each year. A February 2026 oversight snapshot counted 604 in the main-facility grouping and 142 in community corrections, or 746 overall, while also identifying people in other institutions and out-of-institution placements. These figures describe admissions and a point-in-time census. They are not a release count.
Older oversight reports combine community-corrections releases and transfers in one measure. That label cannot be converted into a count of people who entered the community. It does show frequent movement between custody levels and agencies. Individual proof still requires the release or transfer field for the specific Bucks stay.
Find Bucks County Released Inmates
Start with the authority that held the person. Bucks has no public web roster and no official 24-hour or 72-hour released-inmate feed. Its telephone lookup covers active offenders only. A name that no longer returns through that service has left operational visibility, but the person may have transferred rather than gone home.
- Call the active-offender IVR at 267-915-4072. If found, record the Bucks number, housing, and bond details.
- Search PA SAVIN for the named person and distinguish a release alert from a transfer or escape event.
- Check the UJS docket for bail, disposition, sentence, and later orders.
- Use PA DOC, BOP, or ICE tools only when state, federal, or immigration custody is plausible.
- Request the county release record when the exact date, reason, or destination matters.
A missing active result is a lead, not proof of community release. Confirm the event and receiving authority.

Pennsylvania Release Search for Bucks
The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections locator covers state-sentenced inmates and current parolees, not people held only by Bucks County. Choose inmate mode for current DOC jurisdiction or Department Supervised Individual mode for current state field supervision. A parolee result supports release from state prison to supervision. It does not mean the sentence has been discharged.

The system updates daily, and a fully discharged person may disappear. No result can also mean county-only custody, a spelling issue, a timing issue, or an out-of-scope record.
Bucks Release Dockets Across Courts
Bucks release research can cross two court levels. Magisterial District Court dockets show initial and lower-court activity, including bail. Common Pleas criminal dockets show filed cases, dispositions, sentences, and later orders. Bucks County reports 18 Magisterial District Courts, while the Court of Common Pleas is Pennsylvania's Seventh Judicial District.
The Pennsylvania UJS Case Information portal lets a user search by participant, county, court, status, or docket details. The official interface below is useful after a person leaves the active IVR.
A court order can precede physical processing, and docket entries can lag. Search both court layers when the case advanced, then pair the legal outcome with the county release timestamp. Sealed or expunged cases will not appear publicly.
Bucks Post-Release Supervision Check
Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole handles county court probation and local parole. PA DOC supervises people released on state parole. Those are separate systems. There is no public Bucks name-by-name probation search, while the state locator can show a current Department Supervised Individual and the assigned district.

Bucks Release Reentry Network
The Bucks County Reentry Coalition reports participation by more than 50 agencies and offers local navigation for people returning from incarceration. Its services may matter after a verified release. Program contact or participation does not prove that a named person left custody, and it should never substitute for the county event record.
The county also documents the DART Center for justice-involved adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring conditions. Its work includes observation, competency restoration, residential treatment, and reentry or step-down functions. Eligibility and current contacts should be checked with each program. A move into treatment may be an authorized placement while legal custody or supervision continues.
Bucks Release Money and Property
The Bucks Corrections FAQ gives a concrete after-release step. Remaining account money is mailed to the forwarding address supplied at release. If no address was given, the former inmate should contact the Business Office and provide a current mailing address. The office operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding county holidays.
Personal property held for an inmate requires that person's authorization before another person can retrieve it. That rule protects the owner's control and may remain relevant just after departure. Neither an account payment nor a property pickup proves the release type. Keep receipts and authorization records separate from the institutional release record.
Bucks Release Records and Fees
The 2026 Clerk of Courts fee bill lists a $22.50 record search, ordinary copies at $0.25 per page, a docket printout of up to 20 pages at $5 with $0.30 for each added page, and certification at $13. The live bill and Clerk should be checked because format and certification change the total.
That schedule also includes case-related assessments, such as a booking-center fee and a county probation or parole supervision charge. They are not universal gate fees. Whether an assessment applies depends on the docket and legal authority. Do not infer that every Bucks County released inmate owes the same sum, and do not confuse the fee for ordering a record with a charge imposed in a criminal case.
Bucks Releases to Federal Custody
A federal defendant may occupy a local bed under U.S. Marshals authority. A move from Bucks to the Federal Bureau of Prisons is a transfer, not a release. The BOP Inmate Locator searches federal records from 1982 onward by register number or name. It may report “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody,” but that status does not rule out another agency's custody or later supervision.

Federal dates can change after sentence-credit calculations. Use the federal docket when the legal basis matters. The U.S. Marshals Service has no general public historical prisoner search, so the facility, district office, court file, and later BOP record may need to be reconciled.
Bucks Release or ICE Transfer
No active ICE detention center was identified in the Bucks County facility map. A February 2026 county resolution opposing prospective warehouse-style immigration detention facilities does not prove that immigration transfers never occur. It also does not justify a facility page for a jail that does not exist.
When a county record names an ICE detainer or transfer, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Search with a nine-digit A-number and country of birth, or an exact name and country of birth. ODLS covers current ICE custody and longer CBP custody, not a historical release archive. A missing result does not certify community release. The county record should say transfer, and the receiving system must answer what followed.
Bucks Released Versus Active Records
Each system answers a narrow question. Treat its silence with the same care as its result.

PA SAVIN bridges county jail, state prison, and state parole events, but it is a notification system rather than a certified record. UJS supplies judicial history, not the gate time. Exact confirmation comes from matching names, identifiers, dates, event labels, and agencies across the records that apply.
Bucks County Release Facilities
Three county facilities have distinct roles. The main jail is the central receiving point. The connected women's facility houses women committed to Bucks County, including people eligible for work release. The Men's Community Corrections Center is a work-release placement where residents remain in correctional custody even when authorized to leave for approved activity.
